PRP & PRF
What Is PRP & PRF?

Platelet therapy is quickly becoming an integral aspect of cosmetic treatments across the globe. PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) contain very high concentrations of white blood cells, fibrin, and a small number of stem cells found naturally in our bloodstreams. Platelets ordinarily circulate within the blood and will connect to a scaffold of fibrin. When platelets bind to the fibrin scaffold, they become energized or activated. When activated they release growth factors from tiny 'granules.'
How does PRP & PRF work?
PRP and PRF growth factors start the healing process by creating new skin cells, collagen, and blood vessels. At Skën, PRF or PRP can be injected to stimulate collagen production with or without dermal fillers or in combination.
Where else can we use PRF?
PRF can be used in combination with microneedling for skin rejuvenation. Additionally PRF can help to promote hair growth and hair follicle stimulation.
